Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards 2003
|
|
The announcement and celebration of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2003 will take place on Thursday 25th September in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin. The awards will be televised on national TV with RTE 1 broadcasting the event at 10.40 pm.
RTE will also broadcast three half hour TV programmes devoted to the eight nominees in each of the three categories, in advance of the Awards broadcast. These will be broadcast on RTE 1 at 10.40 pm on each of the first three Thursday's in September (September 4th, 11th and 18th). This will significantly contribute to the programme's objective of identifying, saluting and rewarding these great Entrepreneurs, our finest national resource.

The Ernst & Young European Biotech Launch
|

|
The total market capitalisation of Europe's biotech firms dropped by over €30 billion to just over €50 billion at year end 2001, according to a report launched last week in Dublin.
The findings published in "Endurance" Ernst & Young's European Biotech Report 2002 also revealed that IPO's of the European Sector dropped from 39 in 2000 to just six in 2001 with only three recorded in 2002.

New All-Island Seedcorn Competition
€220,000 to be won for the best business plans on the island. In response to the continuing lack of early stage/start-up funding on the island of Ireland, EquityNetwork, a major initiative of InterTradeIreland, is delighted to announce the first All-Island Seedcorn Competition.
We are offering €100,000 for the best business plan on the island and six regional prizes of €20,000.
How to enter
Entrants must first register to receive the Official Rules and Entry Kit. Having registered entrants must then submit their business plan. The deadline for return of business plans is 5pm on 30th September 2003.
